FM Log Privacy Policy

FM Log is a movie logging app. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how it is used, and your choices.
- Device ID: A random identifier generated on your device.
- Movie ratings and comments: If you rate or comment on a movie, this data is stored locally and may be sent to our server when you make a movie public.
- Public movie data: When you mark a movie as public, the app sends the movie title, TMDB ID, poster path, release date, rating, and comment to our server.
- To save and display your movie log on your device.
- To show public movies, ratings, and comments in the public feed.
- To sync public content across users.
Data Sharing
- Public movie data (including ratings/comments) is shared with other users via the public feed.
- We do not sell your data.
Third‑Party Services
- The Movie Database (TMDB) is used to fetch movie details and images.
- Railway hosts our backend server.
Your Choices
- You can keep movies private by not marking them public.
- You can delete movies from your local log at any time.
Data Retention
- Local data stays on your device until you delete it.
- Public data remains on the server unless you unpublish it.
